I have been taking ACAD classes for the past few semesters with Mr. Murray. He has done a wonderful job with the courses and keeping them fun. He has had the patience to deal with me whenever I can't quite understand things. Course IV has been my favorite class, but it would have been difficult without classes I-III. It was so very cool to be able to assemble the objects after you drew them! I would recommend these classes to anyone!

My experience with the Introduction To CAD
This Course was rather enjoyable and straightforward; however, I had my battles and victories and my moments of doubt. Everything was testing me and teaching me at the same time past the mid-point of the course, which was what made it fun yet challenging. My Instructor, Mr. Murray, helped me so much throughout the duration of the course and really made the explanations to the lessons simple and easy.
Overall the lessons I learned, besides the concepts the actual lessons taught me, was to have patience with myself and my projects. A great experience with this course and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who Is looking to learn AutoCAD.

Introduction to CAD is relatively simple & fun when you get into it, and Mr. Murray is a very helpful teacher who guides his students along the way.
At first the CAD program felt strange and clunky due to all the buttons and things I've never seen before but the first lessons effectively taught me the basics of the program I'm using and how to operate it, so I got used to it over the course. After the basics you get into the interesting bits like designing objects, while the last four lessons of the introduction course give you a sample of what's to come in the next courses if you sign up again.
And of course there were sometimes when I screwed up either by missing things or failing to do things properly, but Mr. Murray is quick and made a personal video for each one to guide me back on track and fix the errors.

David thoroughly enjoyed studying drafting through your courses and often commented on how grateful he was that he found your courses on the web. It seems that the focus of a lot of high school courses is in humanities and liberal arts - and although they have their place, the classes that encourage hands-on learning and logical thinking get second place when classes need to be dropped due to teacher shortage, etc. Our experience with this happening - when Drafting 11 was no longer offered at our son’s high school, was actually a blessing in disguise. David was determined to find a course - and he did: Murray’s Technical. At first, I was skeptical - how did I know it was a legit course? How could I tell if the courses would be worth the extra money we had to fork out? We decided to give it a try and we are so glad that David persisted. Having completed all your courses, we would now freely declare it on the mountain tops - Mr. Murray’s courses are worth the money and time! They are very well put together. Professional and challenging with a framework of support when needed.
Initially, David was only going to take the first course, but when he got a taste of it, he wanted to finish them all! With only a limited time frame, he had to work hard in the time he had, but he enjoyed the challenge. As a parent, I was amazed at how Mr. Murray kept up with the marking and support. He is an absolutely amazing and dedicated teacher - worthy of a big thank you and a round of applause!
When David started playing around with computer-assisted drafting, he wasn’t sure what his career direction would be. I started drafting 1 almost two years ago, yet had to take a long break due to how crazy my schedule had gotten. When I was ready to start again, Mr. Murray was very supportive and helped me work through concepts I had trouble with. Even though I lived in a very different timezone, Mr. Murray was still able to send corrections really quick! I really enjoyed learning drafting 1, yet having such a great teacher made it my favorite course to take.

I thought Drafting 1 AutoCAD was a good and useful course which I learned a lot from. It was very well laid out and clear on what to do. When I had a question, Mr. Murray never took super long to respond. When I had an issue in the module, he didn’t just send me to a YouTube video or tell me how to fix it, he sent me a tailor-made video about the problem/how to fix it. Mr. Murray’s drafting 1 course was an eye-opening experience in the world of ACAD. I really liked the self-pace of the class. This gave me the drive to learn more for myself and take breaks when I needed to. Another cool thing was that you must pass with a 100%. You cannot just move onto the next lesson without earning the best score. Mr. Murray is there to teach, not to watch. I never felt stuck trying to do a lesson on my own, he was always available and answered my questions by correspondence or with video training within 24 hours. His responses were direct and to the point specifically aimed to help me understand and grasp what I needed to learn in order to move on to the next module.
So, my experience of this drafting class was wonderful! Knowing nothing from the beginning to now having a good foundation in drafting. I feel confident to move on to the next course. In fact, I have already been offered a job using my knowledge of drafting, right out of high school.

Throughout Mr. Murray’s Architectural course, I have learned various techniques and strategies critical to the architectural process. In the beginning of the course, I learned how to draw a floorplan’s basic outline with just the walls. When I finished the floorplan, Mr. Murray took the time to explain how to dimension the floorplan in great detail. He taught me how to design a roof using the correct slopes and how to draw that roof in the house’s elevations. Mr. Murray also went in depth about how to draw a wall section showing how the walls and foundation are built. Overall, drafting 2 was a fantastic course that taught me a lot about architecture from the floorplan in the beginning of the course to the plot plan at the end of the course.

I just completed Drafting I, and I cannot wait to start the next course. When I first heard about AutoCAD, I thought learning AutoCAD would be hard. But the way Mr. Murray teaches has impressed me greatly. The clear instructions and informational videos made it easy to learn. Also, at any time I could type up a message to him for even the most trivial question, which was
a great confidence booster. Mr. Murray is easy to reach and responds promptly. basically, its a lighting design firm where he comes up with ceiling designs/lighting designs for houses, schools, offices, synagogues, pools etc.
He's really good but he has no idea how to use ACAD...(he does it all by hand) his drafter is beginning her thesis yr in college (she's going for interior design....) so I get to work the other half the time that she's not there
Today was my second day and it was so amazing!!!

These courses are very well made and are good for people just starting to use Autocad. With these courses I went from just hearing about AutoCad to designing complex shapes all in the span of seven months. The material in these courses is straightforward, and if you have questions Mr. Murray will respond very quickly. If you're using the Mac version of Autocad that doesn't have all the tools in these courses, Mr. Murray has provided alternate assignments to help sharpen your skills. I would recommend these courses to anyone who wants to learn about 2D and 3D designing.

This online program was definitely a big help in teaching the basics of Auto Cad. MTE provided videos and direction pages to instruct on the use and setup of the tools we were using, but there were also assignments where you are forced to sort of figure out how to produce a certain drawing by yourself. This built up my confidence skills. Mr. Murray was always open to questions and he replied promptly with useful answers and tips. MTE is a good program for beginners and has helped me to start learning and appreciating more the skills required to master Auto Cad. I will definitely be signing up for the second semester for this course.

Drafting 1 – As a parent who taught high school for ten years before home schooling my own kids, I still struggled with my son’s learning style. His slow steady approach to life was frustrating and his lack of excitement for achievement left me with the feeling he would never find a class, let alone a career, that filled him with passion. We have created a big, beautiful, bold monster, that I adore. Thank you Mr. Murray for being there when my son needed extra guidance along the way. Mr. Murray’s lessons are short, self-guided, and easy to follow. He is also very patient with his students, and will always help guide you so that you may correct your mistake. For me, a big question was, would it work out because of such a long distance between us? The answer is yes, it did, and it worked out very well.”

Hey Mr. Murray, I just realized that, though I intended to a long time ago, I never emailed you. I apologize sincerely for not updating you sooner. But you may have wondered way back then where I went. I got a job! As an AutoCAD Electrical Drafter Intern at an international engineering firm! I have been able to use all of your instruction both for this and the 3D renders I make for my brother’s prop business. Thanks so much!

I joined this course to learn CAD drafting in order to progress my career and with my own little CNC project. It was a very good course and gave me solid base in CAD drafting. I was able to interpret projects and also produce projects on my own without having to spend a year learning things which would not relate to what I wanted to do. Being able to have personal contact with Mr. Murray together with the reasonable fees are a big bonus. I would recommend this course to not only younger students, but also for working professionals.

I heard about this program on a homeschooling forum while searching for an interesting elective for my son, Brian. The reviews were good so we signed up. My son loves this class! He was not sure at first about learning AutoCAD but Mr. Murray’s enthusiasm and support have made it a fun experience. He is always available if you get stuck, grades drawings quickly and is happy to help with whatever you need. We are very satisfied with the program and I personally appreciate the family friendly atmosphere of Murray’s Technical Education.

We sing high praises of Mr. Murray. During our initial set up, we experienced difficulties downloading the ACAD system and also had other technical difficulties; come to find out it was all related to an outdated computer on our end. But, Mr. Murray spent several hours on the phone with my husband trying to resolve our issues; as well as spending almost equal time, on a later date, with my son; encouraging and inspiring him as as a student. We are looking forward to the rest of the course, knowing it is taught by someone with a real teacher’s heart. Thank you Mr. Murray.

I have taken all three courses and am very happy with the results. The teacher is very helpful, fast responses, and straight to the point. In my opinion, it is better than going to the classroom. I would recommend to everyone.

When I signed my son up for Mr. Murray’s online drafting class I wasn’t sure what we would be getting into. Many courses just don’t deliver what you were hoping for. This course, however, has been a joy for my son. It’s the first thing he wants to do in his school day. Mr. Murray has always taken as much time as was needed to help him and has such a passion and ability teaching, that he sparks enthusiasm in his students. We hope to take any course he has to offer. Also, being a homeschooled boy, it’s good college prep to learn how to interact with and take instruction from someone other than Mom. Worth every penny!

Mr. Murray: I am so thankful that I am certified in ACAD; I was able to receive college credit for my major because of it. I would definitely recommend Mr. Murray’s course to anyone interested in AutoCAD. He is great about grading your assignments quickly, and giving you lots of feedback, while working through each module until you get each part down. I learned a lot and greatly enjoyed this course.
